About You
I have been motivated by meeting a lot of inspirational women within the company and learnt a lot about the companies values and targets. The programme has given me confidence that I would be encouraged to progress in the company and pushed to improve. Meeting graduates has been very insightful to hear their opinion.
Everyone at EY has emphasised that the Vesta poroavh is to be yourself and let your personality shine. The programme has been very inclusive and allowed everyone to understand more about the different service lines at EY. Everyone has been very friendly and allcomtributions I have made were valued by the team.
I found the tips for assessment centres very helpful and it’s great to know what the employers are looking for in a potential graduate. Knowing the difference between the service lines will be very helpful when applying case studies to EY at assessment centres. My table host has been very help Hal with hints and tips but not giving us all the answers.
There was a lot of information given to us in the first day of the programme and a lot to take in, but this was very useful when applying information to the case study in day 2. The advice on presentation skills I received will definitely help with my university studies.
The Company
Everything was extremely well organised and ran on time. Clear communication was form throughout both days and if I was ever confused I was given help by the staff members. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone who is unsure whether the want to apply to one of the “big 4.”
The two day programme was formal, but relaxed, everyone was polite and friendly and keen to get to know other people. Everyone was dressed appropriately (business dress) and I never felt people were being judgemental or assuming. After his experience EY would definitely be a company I would insider applying for.
This programme is a brilliant way to be fast tacked to assessment centre and the insider knowledge will be helpful helpful to prove I have researched the company and made connections with the firm. I feel I would know what student recruitment are looking for when I attend an assessment centre.
I have found out more about making a job at EY work for you and how to manage a work-life balance. The company seem keen to encourage women to push themselves and not to doubt their abilities which I really like. The opinions from people on the graduate programmes is invaluable.
The company values and visions are really important at EY and they emphasise that they want their people to be happy and enthusiastic in work every day. EY want to be a grown and expanding business but at the same time build strong connections at a local level with their clients.
I know more about the individual service lines and which ones I think I would enjoy and suit my skills. It had also opened my eyes to service lines that I did not know much about and how they are split into UKI and FS. I will have to think more about where in the company I want to apply.
Everything Else
EY paid for my transport and hotel for 2 nights.
Lots of ppportuniteis to speak t company employees and a speed networking event to speak to people in all different departments. Everyone seemed happy in their job and to enjoy challenges they face every day. I have also met a lot of student who have the same aspirations as me.
The social on the Thursday evening as very fun and a great way to get to know other girls on the programme and their backgrounds. Not everyone is studying for a business or finance degree and everyone is in the same boat trying to decide a career path they want to take.
There wasn’t much mentioned about out of work activities. People seem to get along well but no mention of societies or sports clubs.
A lot of information packed into a two day programme and a great opportunities to stand out before assessment centre. A great idea of what working for EY would be like on a day-to-say basis and what challenges you may face along your career path. Women should not be discouraged from applying to work in the business world.
