The Role
This was a truly excellent placement for the right person. Technically, it was in depth and Deloitte made sure that as a scholar, we were looked after and could pursue our interests in the relevant fields. Professionally, the number of skills gained was very high and their application has been highly transferrable.
When I joined the organisation, people were extremely welcoming and helpful. I was also treated with a great deal of respect quickly given many responsibilities. There was the odd employee who had the lack of respect and foresight to deal with scholars/interns in a professional and mindful way, but generally, the colleagues were outstanding.
I always had somewhere to ask for assistance. If I felt lost, managers/supervisors would to the best of their ability assist me.
Generally speaking, the workload depended a lot on one's commitment and desire to learn about the organisation and industry. The flexibility is there to go as high as one wants. Busy season was obviously filled with fairly long hours, but it was by no means the nightmare many people make it out be.
A very large amount of responsibility was given provided one could prove oneself and show enthusiasm.
Invaluable skills were gained at such a relatively young age (18). It boosted my maturity and ability to deal with people in a profound way.
The Company
Again, a subjective question. It was a very positive atmosphere generally speaking.
It was organised brilliantly, making the scheme feel very well structured and thought ut.
Invested very highly, obviously expended a great deal of resource to ensure I could perform my job well.

As a scholar, they are very positive, subject to levels of performance.
The Culture
There was a good vibe among the scholars. The group was also surprisingly varied.
St Albans and London are fairly expensive areas.
I didn't attend many nightlife events.
Frequent emails for outside activities, many opportunities to get involved.
