About You
I really enjoyed the insight programme, especially the panels with female leaders within this industry. That panel inspired me and made me understand how much EY values diversity. I also enjoyed the case studies during which I worked with other students and learned more about different division and roles within EY.
This programme made me certain how much EY values its employees, as well as its potential future employees. I found the HR very approachable and felt very valued during this insight programme. As a female student interested in this industry, I particularly enjoyed this programme’s focus on diversity and inclusion.
During the speed networking event, I had the chance to meet people from different divisions within EY and received a lot of support from them as well as the HR.
I definitely learned so much from this insight programme. In the beginning of the programme, I wasn’t sure which division would be the most suitable for me but after listening to talks and interacting with employees, I know about the structure and decided what I want to do within EY.
The Company
I believe the programme was very well structures. Although it was a short programme, I learned so much about EY and had the opportunity to apply my knowledge during the case studies.
The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. I felt valued and welcomed during the programme and made close friends. I also got along very well with people working at EY and did not feel nervous about asking questions or participating in discussions.
I knew that EY invests in its people and this programme proved that to me again. I had a deep understanding of different divisions, especially tax and assurance and had the chance to apply my new knowledge during the case studies and presentations.
After listening to the panel talk and interacting with employees, I learned about the day-to-day tasks of different roles and know what I will do as a graduate at EY. I was very happy to see the office where I would be working and talking to senior people as well as junior people within EY.
Although I knew about the culture before attending the programme, I did not see it in action before. This programme gave me the opportunity to understand that its values are not just words EY uses but actually demonstrates everyday. EY definitely cares about integrity, respect and collaboration and looks for these while hiring.
Even though I was also considering other options before, this programme persuaded me to join EY. I not only loved the work EY employees do but also wanted to be a part of its work environment. I believe that EY would value me and invest in me so I am certain that I would love to start my career at EY.
Everything Else
As I attend a university in London and stay at my university accommodation, I did not stay at the hotel provided by EY. However, I know that EY offered free accommodation for those coming from other cities.
I had the opportunity to meet employees during a speed networking event and I also interacted with the employee sitting at my table during the day. Thus, I always had the chance to learn more about the company’s structure and culture.
I particularly enjoyed the social event on the first day during which we played bowling with other students. We also had the chance to meet EY employees during the speed networking event.
I learned that there are training courses and charities that EY employees can benefit from so I believe that this programme taught me about all the opportunities available to its people.
I would definitely recommend this programme to my friends. Through this programme, they would not only learn about the sector and EY but also meet both leading people within this field and smart, driven and motivated students so I believe that this is a great opportunity for students to gain an insight into EY.
