About You
I really enjoyed the insight. As per what I was hoping to get out of this programme, I got to learn about the various service lines and also got a bit of experience in what the assessment centres are like. I also got to learn more about EY and its people.
Everyone was really nice and welcoming. They were always around for us to ask questions and also explicitly told us we can approach them even during the breaks. I could really feel the people culture at EY and it felt genuine to me. The friendliness of everyone made the experience enjoyable.
I felt support and guidance throughout the experience. With the programs on the itinerary like the speed networking, I felt very welcome to ask anything and the people I talked to were all very nice. As I didn’t have much prior knowledge on the various service lines, there was a lot I didn’t know but I felt like I could comfortably ask.
Before this experience, I had very little knowledge regarding what each service line did on a day to day basis. I also had no clue as to which line was right for me and what would suit me best but now I feel like I have a clearer and better outline.
The Company
The programme felt very structured and the time given for each event felt like it was sufficient. The first day was all about learning about the different service lines and learning and asking about the service lines whereas the second day was more to applying what we learned about the service lines.
The atmosphere was really nice because they really emphasised the people culture at EY. Everyone, not only the people in charge but also the people I was around, were very friendly and nice. That made for a fun time as it was enjoyable to be around them and hang out.
There was a table host who was around for us to ask questions. She was not only helpful in the specific events we had on the itinerary but also was really helpful in giving us more information about her experience in the company.
Yes I feel like through the insight I have a much better understanding of what it’s like to have a full time role in the company. There were many people especially the people on the panel who gave information on what their jobs are like and what they do on a daily basis.
It was very helpful in understanding the company culture. I felt like there was a huge emphasis on the company culture at EY. The presentations and the people that surrounded me all helped me understand the culture. I really liked how they emphasised what the culture is like as it’s important to me.
It was helpful as there were talks about tax and assurance. While the panel of women onstage that answered any questions we had, had people from other service lines as well. This allowed for more questions to be asked regarding all the service lines. I now have a better idea of what lines I prefer.
Everything Else
They paid for my hotel room for two nights .
Yes the speed networking allowed for us to talk to a great many people. However, I felt like it was a bit too rushed but it’s to be expected due to the name of the the event. People were friendly so it was easy to approach them outside of the events.
There was a bowling social after the events of the day.
Yes there was a table at the speed networking about the women’s network.
Yes I would recommend it to anyone that wants a better understanding of the service lines and culture.
