About You
I enjoyed the insight because it’s really consolidated what I want to do with my career which is incredibly invaluable to know in your first year at University, I came into this Programme not knowing 100% what it is I wanted to do, mostly due to the fact i really didn’t understand what each role specifically entailed and what it actually was, after this event i really feel like i understand each service and the main differences between them. After being able to speak to many women like myself who were also in my position, I was able to communicate and ask them all my questions to ensure I really understand the role. I really liked the fact that we had that close contact to staff at ey from all backgrounds and at all stages of EY, as i was really able to direct my question to the right person. It was great meeting someone who is actually still at university and did discover EY a few years back and being to understand what she does and whether that career is for myself. I honestly think that this insight has helped me understand what is important to me when it comes to a career, the people and work ethic at EY is exactly what I want to work with. Even though it was only two days I will leave this event with a clear path of what I want to do, which is an incredibly satisfied feeling.
Even though we weren’t working, I genuinely felt valued from the first moment. Having all my travel, accomodation and expenses paid for made me feel valued as they do wanted me here. I felt as though, I was the next EY generation which made me feel inspired and motivated. EY really made an effort to suit the whole programme to us.
This programme was specifically help us understand what EY is, what it does and really who it is. I feel as though the two days gave us a lot of insight and a lot of information into the life at EY which I valued a lot. Before this event, I didn’t think I would leave knowing what I wanted to do, as I was so unsure, but after having all of the support and guidance of EY staff, I leave feeling confident in myself and what I want to do next.
The information I received won’t specifically assist me in my degree, but it has definitely given me motivation to succeed, as I want to be one of EY. The skills that we developed, I think are vital for my future, networking is incredibly important which we definitely developed during various point during the day, whether that was with other students, or staff at EY.
The Company
The two days were incredibly well structured, everything went smoothly and it felt as thought a lot of thought went into the programme and they really thought about what we wanted to get out of it and how they can help us get the most out of the progamme. The reason I have given it 9 and not 10 stars is that during the networking event at the EY offices, the space provided was small and thus was incredibly noisy and I couldn’t make the most out of the networking session!
The atmosphere was incredible, all staff there made me feel welcome and as though they were happy to see us there. I think the way we were valued and supported really reflects EY as a company, and really made me see how working for EY could look and the support and guidance I could receive. Everybody was happy and wanted to talk to really help us achieve everything we want during this programme!
The company really invested in me as all my expenses were paid, a long with my travel and accomodation at the Hilton. I also felt as though all the staff wanted to interact with us which felt as though they invested their time into us. Thank you to everyone at EY!
I definitely feel prepared now that I have attended and feel that I really gained a true insight into what a career at EY could look like and I’m incredibly motivated as I want to work at EY after speaking to all of the people here at EY, I can really feel myself working here.
