About You
I really enjoyed the insight into EY. I liked the fact that it was focussed around successful women in business because this was inspiring and allowed in retesting questions about Work life balance. I also really enjoyed the act there was a vast number of EY employers at the event that allowed us to speak to a diverse range of employees in many different roles and at different career levels.
I could not believe the lengths EY went to, to welcome everybody to the conference. The organisation of the conference helped to create a more relaxed environment and allowed you to ask several different questions without feeling like you were disrupting the plan for the event as plenty of time had been scheduled in,
All of the talent spotting team were extremely friendly and went to every length to help you understand about EYs ethos and service lines! I particularly liked that there was guidance through the actions of the talent spotting team reflecting EYs ethos in all the tasks, clearly explaining what was expected from the teamwork tasks.
The skills that I have devoted from this conference are going to be extremely useful for any assessment centre and interview I could be invited to in the future as the tips and help was incredible and insightful, giving specific advice that you can apply to real life situations and applications.
The Company
There was a clear and full plan for the couple of days. It allowed us to have full benefit out of the activities and to learn as much as possible within the two days. There was also well structured breaks that gave us time to relax and get to know others on the conference.
The general atmosphere was relaxed and extremely friendly. I loved that you didn’t feel like you were in competition with those around you so team work was effective and this was because of the friendly environment that EY introduced and sustained through the way they set up the conference over the two days.
They gave us tips and guides for applications and interviews when applying for internships and guaduate schemes which was priceless information that they were willing to give us training in. They also provided a deep insight into the company and their ethos as well as the specific service lines and subsections.
The insight was extremely detailed and really guided you about the feel of the company and whether you would fit in with the people at this company. This was extremely useful and helped me to weigh up whether my strengths would fit in and suit a job at earnest and young
The company has a people culture and they encouraged us to full understand why this is important to the company and how they have flexible timings for all their employees. Their support systems are crucial to the company as a whole.
It was extremely helpful but also left me with lots of questions about what route I want to take my career.
Everything Else
Earnest and young were extremely generous and funded all of my travel expenses as well as my hotel for the two nights.
We had a speed networking event where we could speak as as many people as we would like from all areas of the company.
We had a social in the evening which meant that we could get to know others on the programme.
We got told about all apsects of jobs in EY and every extra activity.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend and encourage them to take part as I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot.
