About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the Spring Insight Programme. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who's thinking of pursuing a career in Finance, but is maybe unsure. I went in with a very open mindset and decided to hopefully go through with a career in Finance!
During my time, I felt incredibly valued for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I was given the opportunity to meet senior employees during the special networking dinner. I was lucky enough to meet the Head of ECM aswell as the Head of UK Corporate DCM. Secondly, I felt like I developed my personal and professional network during this week.
Any time there was a task, the instructions were always extremely clear. The HR team were always very supportive throughout the whole week too.
Interpersonal skills and networking skills that I've developed this week are not only important in Finance, but is a general life skill that people should always look to enhance!
The Company
Very well structured, timetables were given to us beforehand with what we were doing with our time this week.
Very positive, everybody whether that is fellow interns or employees are very easily approachable.
I felt that the company had invested a lot into us. We were able to work on a lot of our soft skills which are extremely important.
A lot because we had several sessions where we could speak to people from each division and gain an insight into what a full time role at BoAML is like.
A lot. Was able to speak to a variety of people whether thats Analysts or Directors that informed me about why they chose BoAML aswell as why they've stayed there for so long (if they're senior).
Work Shadowing days were very valuable! Initially, I had gone into the Spring Insight Week thinking that I would want to go into Global Markets, but ended up picked Global Capital Markets.
Everything Else
Had the option of travel expenses being paid.
Yes, many opportunities. Networking Dinner was a highlight of the week.
As mentioned, variety of networking events with opportunities to speak to very senior employees.
Yes, many different societies within the bank aswell as volunteering opportunities.
Definitely!
