The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my year-long placement at Hays It was exactly what I expected a placement year to be like. You are challenged and put through a lot throughout the year all to come out on the other side as a professional. I have learned so much, met so many people and I believe this has been the right stepping stone of my career.
You are supported every step of the way by your peers, you are all working together towards a common goal. You have competition within interns which is great as it makes us all work harder.
Great management team you can talk to them freely about anything, they value your opinion and trust you.
Very busy from the start of the day to the end. You wonder where time goes - you have so much to do that it is overwhelming however by planning you can do it all.
I was given autonomy from the start as if they trusted me within their business which was a lot of pressure but also great as I wanted to prove myself I could do it.
The skills, expericne and connections I have made will last my a life time you get a feel of what you really are passionte about and what you want to do after graduting. You meet various kinds of people and get to learn how to act with them all. As well as learning from everyone you meet.
The Company
Fun, vibrant, alive, engaged, passionate, motivated environment. Form the start to the end of the day it was great!
Really well organised - a lot of effort put into training and development and making sure we were getting as much as we could out of the year.
Many hours were spent learning the business and getting up to speed with other consultants such a good way to learn from others who had done in the past!
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Future employment is appealing, however, I am not certain if I am well suited for recruitment. Though it is for sure up there with as a back up!
The Culture
Very good balance - regular team nights out and incentives are run throughout the year.
