About You
The Talents Lab (spring week) held by UBS was thoroughly enjoyable and provided a very detailed look into the investment bank.
Throughout the week we were congratulated on securing a place on the programme and really made felt wanted. Everyone was very happy to meet and speak with us and overall everyone I met was extremely friendly.
Throughout the programme we were given great insight into the different divisions within the bank. All questions asked were answered and additional support was also given if struggling within certain workshops/case studies.
The many workshops held in the week really helped build my skill set. I remember taking part in an M&A case study that really reinforced my technical abilities and gave me a flavour on how to perform evaluations of companies.
The Company
The event was very well made. A timetable was provided on the very first day entailing all the events that the programme will consist of.
The atmosphere was great. During speeches and presentations it was quiet to help swallow all the information and make sense of it but also hectic during the different workshops, specially the trading game.
All questions asked were answered.
The proamme made a good job of highlighting the different roles people have within the bank. A more firm understanding would have been attained by perhaps shadowing certain staff.
The culture of UBS was talked about everywhere and a good understanding of the 3 keys UBS works on was gathered.
The programme helped answer a lot of questions I had before I came on.
Everything Else
There was a networking event held on the last day. It would have been better if perhaps more staff came along but overall very nice to meet everyone and speak to people about their roles and background.
An excellent opportunity to gain strong insight into investment banking and its various divisions.
