About You
I found it one of the most stimulating weeks of my life.
The firm were very keen to make everyone feel comfortable, be them finance or non-finance students, and we were introduced to a range of employees.
It would have been useful to have a more simplistic breakdown of the everyday actions of the different divisions. Otherwise we were well supported.
The information was above-and-beyond and I will use these skills throughout my career.
The Company
It would have been nice to spend longer in divisions, but the schedule was very good otherwise.
Both our peers and the reps were lively and friendly.
We had skills sessions on presentation, case studies, interviews, assessments, and more.
It would have been useful to be told more of the daily activities, but the culture and general roles were well explained.
The culture is friendly and broad, personal development is important at the bank.
I am fairly confident in what I would like to do as well as other options available, and the general path people in each division follow.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed travel and accommodation for the duration of my stay, we had breakfast and lunch provided and one evening meal.
We had a networking dinner and reps with us at most of our sessions.
Excellent, we had a networking dinner and were able to meet and contact staff outside of our schedules to get to know them more. The interns were all very friendly and we were encouraged to work as a team instead of in competition with each other both in and out of the office.
The culture of the bank is excellent, they are patrons of the arts, there are leadership programmes for women, guest lectures across a broad range of subjects, free language lessons during lunch hours.
Definitely.
