About You
Great variety in the programme between opportunities to meet great people, listen to interesting presentations, and develop skills that are very relevant for the job itself. The professionalism of the firm as well as its unique culture around the openness and diversity of its people could truly be sensed throughout the week.
The possibility to connect with senior people is evidence of how humble the firm's employees are at all levels and how juniors are valued, regardless of the size of the firm. The very individual and easy contact with the organisers of the programme also contributes to this feeling of belonging within the firm.
Amazing to see how available mentors make themselves for the programme. In the same way, all junior employees I have come across would happily take the time to talk individually and give any sort of advice, also outside of hours scheduled for that purpose. This just shows how much importance is given to the programme internally.
The information given in the many presentations is truly relevant to the current economy and have great applicability. A lot of emphasis is put on soft skills too through interactive sessions given by professional coachs, which make the programme a great learning experience even to people taking different career paths.
The Company
Each day of the programme is well diversified, with a comprehensive daily agenda helping you get used to the new rhythm and make the most of it. A perfect balance between formal and more informal activities is found. Social events are a great opportunity to network with other programme participants and are also part of the very well-structured week.
The general atmosphere during the week was simply great. Quite some flexibility is given to the attendants be it regarding work or social events, making it possible for everyone to tailor it and make the most of it in their own way. I experienced a great connectivity within the group and reliability of other people, which is evidence of how the firm's culture is felt during a single week.
The existence of workshops on soft skills is extremely useful given how universal those skills are; these sessions are given by professionals who make it memorable and truly useful.
A combination of junior and senior people giving presentation help give the full picture of what the job is like; I could easily gain insights into all career stages and the openness of all employees make it extremely easy to gain even more of those outside of hours scheduled for that purpose.
The company's culture is never advertised with exaggeration through facts and figures; instead, the firm leaves it up to the participants to understand it on their own. From the very first day onwards, the culture becomes obvious to any participant paying attention to the whole environment but also the atmosphere within the programme that results.
Presentations with great relevance to the specific fields of interest as well as current events are very valuable. In addition, a lot of emphasis is put on mobility possibilities for people interested in other areas of the broad expertise of the firm.
Everything Else
All aspects of the trip were made very easy or even taken care of by the HR team, coordinating everything and making the experience optimal.
Networking opportunities are part of the very well-structured agenda and are organised in very convenient settings. Connecting is made very easy by the firm's employees's enthusiasm and openness. In addition, countless opportunities exist to meet employees outside of scheduled hours and prove to be very useful and personal experiences too.
Social events offer the opportunity to connect with programme participants in more informal settings from the first day onwards, helping create a good atmosphere within the group. A perfect balance between organised events and time for own activities is found.
Insights are given by employees into specific activities that exist. In addition, it is very easy to get insights into juniors' private lives, who are very open to share their experience.
Well-structured programme with great variety in the types of activities; possibilities to meet great and open people; clear reflection of the firm's culture and what working in the relevant division is like: these are definitely key reasons for anyone to want to attend this exciting week.
