IB & Risk Spring Week Intern Review

The insight gave us the chance to discover more about IB but also Risk and Treasury. Moreover, it gave us the opportunity to talk with employees from different groups with different levels of seniority. And last but not least we got to meet a lot of our peers (interns) from different background and it was a lot of fun.

We received guidance and support before even the beginning of the week. The HRs in the program made sure that we got everything we needed and were always keen to help us if needed. Also, the people you will meet during the week will give you a lot of advice.

We got the opportunity to develop a lot of skills during the week. First, we developed our communication skills thanks to the various people we had the chance to talk to but also through presentation, and a workshop. We also worked on our team skills through the team project, project who was also helpful to gain analytical skills.

The atmosphere was really good. We got a chance to quickly know each others (the interns) from day 1. Every day we had time for us interns to be together : breakfast, breaks... We also had networking events were we could meet the interns from other divisions which made it even more friendly.

The insight helped us to understand clearly what it would be like to have a full time role with the firm through detailed presentations of different divisions but mostly by having a lot of different people from different divisions and different levels of seniority talk to us and giving us insights.

There were plenty opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company. First, networking events were organized and we had presentations with different people within the company. After presentation, the persons who presented usually stayed a little bit more just in case you wanted to talk with them. Also, they gave us some little break times which we were free to use as we wanted and thus that we could use to meet more people.
