About You
The experience was very insightful and interesting, I really liked it
The value that the firm placed on people is incredible. The quality and the quantity resources they spent on us is truly outstanding
All the activities were guided and all J.P. Morgan employees are always ready to help and support you anytime if you just ask
Since it was just a 5-day programme I would say that I have been able to hugely develop some skills. However, the group project we had to work on throughout the week was very useful to develop analytical and communication skills, as well as team-working abilities
The Company
Extremely well structured. We had a precise schedule to follow each day and all the activities were structured in such a way to get the maximum out of each
I was probably the best thing of the programme. All the participants were amazing people and we had so much fun both during the activities and outside "work"
A lot. The amount of resources (any type, not only monetary) that were invested on us is just incredible
As far as finance is concerned, it is always hard to truly understand the day-to-day activities of a full-time employee. However, the presentations and the networking sessions were very helpful in this sense.
As mentioned, it was just a 5-day programme. However, the people and the culture is truly what differentiate J.P. Morgan from other banks. The culture is very collaborative and supportive
Honestly, even before the programme I was quite sure I wanted to pursue a career in finance and this programme just confirmed one more time this aspiration
Everything Else
J.P. Morgan covered all my travel and accommodation expenses
Yes, there were plenty of opportunity to network with both junior and senior employees
Networking sessions where structured in such a way to have the perfect balance between employees and students, they were great. Social events were also great as they gave us the opportunity to know each other in a more "relaxed" environment
Yes, in this sense J.P. Morgan is on of the frontrunners and gives its employees plenty of outside-work opportunities (sports, societies, volunteering)
Surely, it is definitely something that I would recommend to anyone interested in a career in finance
