About You
I enjoyed meeting the UBS employees and also other students. there was a chance to network at the end of the three day programme. The days were quite long but it was worth it because I learnt a lot. I hope to keep in touch will other students and UBS employees
I felt valued throughout. From the start, they told us that we had come a long way and have reached the final stage already and that 2500 students had applied roughly. Hence I felt valued and also even senior employees gave us time during talks and answering questions. UBS was great at making me feel valued.
I feel like during the interactive activities more support could have been given. If so, i would have gained a lot more. Most students didn't know how to complete or have a full understanding of all the activities. Talks were informative and employees answered questions well and so this will guide me to make a career chouce.
Skills weren't developed and its difficult to develop in just 3 days. Information was key in ensuring that I make the correct decision about the summer internship I would like to pursue and also information about the interviews in September were useful. Also, I now know what divisions I am likely to research more.
The Company
It was very well structured. So we would listen to a talk and then do an activity on the talk straight after in order to consolidate knowledge. The plans were kept to throughout the day. I believe it would be better to keep front office and back office separate .
It was great. Most students were keen to learn and extract knowledge from talks and activities. Also, during various activites, the atmosphere gave me an idea of what working in the division would be like. I very much enjoyed this insight. Atmosphere was overall very engaging . . . .
They invested 3 days in us which were full of activites, networking and learning opportunities. Personal training not so much considering the mock interviews were done in groups. This question probably applies more to a summer internship where UBS would definitely invest more time and resources in to their potential full time employees
3 days in which activites, networking and learning opportunities were present. You can only extract so much information about working full time when attending a 3 day spring programme. But having the chance to network with full time employees gave me an understanding of a full time role with UBS.
Culture was spoken about many times and so I understood a lot about it. Now, I am aware of what the people are like at UBS and the atmosphere in the work place. People were down to earth and happy to ask questions. Its difficult to differentiate cultures of different companies.
This was very useful. I now know roughly what I need to delve deeper in to over the summer break and research the divisions which I have the best impressions of in terms of suiting me. UBS employees were very helpful and attentive whilst I was asking questions and gave me engaging responses in return.
Everything Else
I didn't ask to be.
Throughout the programme I was able to meet many employees from UBS that were from different divisions which was fantastic in helping me to decide what career i would like to pursue/ research further in to pursuing. We had a networking sessions on the last day which was brilliant as we got the chance to meet seniors.
We had a networking sessions on the last day which was brilliant as we got the chance to meet senior employees from various departments including investment banking, that had had amazing experiences in their careers and life. They were pleasant and open to answer questions. I was very impressed with their experiences.
