About You
The week provided many opportunists to explore the wide range of different career paths both within Mace and the industry. The HR team went out of their way to put on the best possible site visits around London. The sites that we were taken to were very interesting and for each one we had engineers to explain all the processes.
The company had put in a lot of time and effort to ensure that the insight week was as good as it could be. There was a good 1 to 1 relationship with the HR team who who was running it. The HR team went out of their way to put on the best possible site visits around London.
There was a large amount of opportunities throughout the week to ask any questions, the week provided the opportunity for 1 to 1 shadowing for an afternoon out on a 45 story construction site. At the end of the week there was a mock interviews and scenario problems to give you a taste of the graduate selection process.
Many talks were put on throughout the week that gave a really good insight to what is expected from you when applying to a company such as MACE. The insight week also included mock interviews and scenario problems. The week also gave me ideas about what modules to select at university that will be most relevant.

Throughout the week we were given talks to by many different graduates who each shared their experiences with us. When shadowing a construction manager on site i witnessed the responsibilities he had onsite from such an early stage in his career and also saw how exciting it is to work onsite.
Throughout the week the talks were held at the office headquarters in moorgate. Spending time in the offices gave me a feeling for what it would be like to work for mace. The employees were always friendly and the offices had a very inclusive culture. We had lunch in the offices.

Everything Else
lunch and transport was paid for throughout the week for us.
At the end of every talk there was an opportunity to speak to the employee after. On the last day we had lunch with current placement students where we were able to exchange contact details and find out what they had been doing on their placement. There was also the opportunity to network amongst us.
Throughout the week we spent alot of time with each other and we set up a whatsapp group
Because a lot of graduates join mace from outside of London the graduates have good social events where they can meet each other. They have a whats app group between them and organised a ski trip for winter next year. The company also put on charity events to raise money for.
yes it was very informative and learnt alot about the industry.
