About You
Extremely fun, engaging, and informative week covering all areas of the financial industry and the role that Barclays plays within it. Met some great fellow interns from all over the UK with different backgrounds which I will surely keep in touch with. Also, I had the chance to network with genuinely nice Barclays employees.
Greatly valued -- every Barclays employee was very approachable and eager to help whenever asked.
HR was always there if we needed anything.
Learned both technical, and non-technical things pertaining to the financial industry.
The Company
There was a timely schedule in place with seamless transitions from activity to activity.
Was great!
It's evident that Barclays invests in young talent. This was clearly shown by the employees.
Whilst we received a general overview of each function group, I still felt that I did not 100% understood the role. Perpahs this could be improved by allowing even more work shadowing experiences in the future.
The culture of Barclays is clearly displayed all across the office but is also clearly used by employees in their day to day job.
I particularly enjoyed the interactive, teamworking activities which gave us an insight into each group function!
Everything Else
I am very glad for the fact that Barclays covered all my cover, accommodation, and food expenses throughout the week!
Whilst there was one networking event on Wednesday evening, perhaps more of these could have been planned as they were of great help connecting with graduate analysts. Also, perhaps a sit down meal with other employees could've been used as means of another netowkring event.
Yes, and they all sound very diverse from sports to laser taging to voluneteering.
