  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I enjoyed it tremendously. The talks were all extremely insightful and I got to understand the company and the business a lot better.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • A large extent! It was clear that a lot of effort was being placed into ensuring the program was useful for us. The trading game was really well designed and the speakers and panellists were all extremely engaging.

    • The panellists were all very willing to answer the questions that the participants had. The employees that came down for the networking session were also extremely helpful in explaining the business to us.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The information I received about what fund managements do and how the industry is moving ahead will be extremely useful when I apply for a job.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Excellent! The timing of every activity was planned down to the minute. Nothing was too long or short and it kept us all really engaged. The rotation between talks and activities was a great idea!

    • All the speakers and organisers seemed really excited to be there and it made us enjoy it a lot more.

    • The advice on video interview was extremely useful and I got to understand what the employers were looking out for.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • A large extent! There were people from all aspects of the business who came down for the networking. This allowed us to approach them and learn about the different roles they do.

    • Everyone spoke highly about the culture so I understood it well.

    • I am a lot more interested in working in fund management now!

    • There was no reimbursement for meals but lunch was provided.

    • Many. There was a networking session and a panel discussion.

    • The networking session was very well planned and I enjoyed how many different people came to talk to us.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Some employees spoke about sports they did outside work but not many went into this area. Most likely because I did not ask them about it as opposed to them not being willing to share.
