The Role
I really enjoyed my 8 weeks with the firm. I got a broad range of experience dealing with clients in different sectors.
The staff were great and treated me as a member of the team from day one.
I was given a mentor before I started so that I could email them any questions that I had. Once I had started with the firm my mentor made sure I was included in all the activities taking place at the firm.
II found that I always had plenty to do. Especially as I spent most my time at clients I was rarely bored.
From the first day I was treated like an employee and was given responsibility straight away.
I am already finding the experience I gained over the summer is helping me with my University studies. I also feel it will help me settle in when I join the firm next October.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great and all the staff were very friendly.
The placement was very well organised. When i went in on the first day I had already been assigned to clients for the whole placement.
I attended several training sessions that were for the full time staff. This helped me gain an experience in what it would be like if I worked for the firm.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have received an offer with the firm starting next October.
The Culture
We stayed in a hotel with the other interns for the first 2 days which was a great way to meet everyone before starting the placement. There were several events during my time with the firm in which we met up.
There were plenty of events and socialising opportunities outside of work.
