About You
The insight programme at Rothschild was very good. I learnt a lot, met a lot of really great people and found out a lot about the firm.
I felt really valued during my time at Rothschild - employees were very willing to give up their time to speak to us.
We received a lot of support and guidance during the insight. Despite having to work on a group project throughout the week that was left up to us, advice was always there if we needed it.
The spring week has helped me to be more focused and have more of a career goal in mind. We had a workshop on banking as a whole and more technical skills which was very useful.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. Our days were packed full of presentations and activities full of information, and we were given sufficient breaks between these.
The atmosphere during the insight programme was great. It felt like everyone was there to learn, and so it was a very friendly helpful atmosphere - I have made some great friends from the week that I will keep in touch with. The employees also seemed excited to have us and happy to be there, which made for a fun week.
The company definitely invested in us - they provided a training session which was extremely helpful in terms of gaining technical skills as well as a variety of networking opportunities over afternoon teas and drinks.
Everything Else
We weren't paid, however for a week's experience the firm very kindly reimbursed travel expenses and lunch.
