About You
I really enjoyed the week as i learnt a lot than I ever expected and it's not just about the knowledge of banks but a deeper understanding of myself.
All the time because it seems that the people working in Barclays really hope to find out what you are thinking and get some creative ideas. But this is not always true when doing group discussion with peers, they want to shine and sometimes they only care about whether they have speaked or not.
Always got guidance and support when I asked, although one of the HR was not happy at one time.
I think what I gained can rarely be learnt in the school and that's why the experience was really valuable.
The Company
A lot talks by the people working there, not many things to do on our own or enough opportunities to make sure everyone understand the knowledge and then compete between each others.
Loved the place, hope I ever got the opportunity to work there again.
a lot case studies but none actual business, but think this is because of the nature of bank
a lot, it even helped me knowing which division i which to work for in the future
it does focus on company structure that much but for sure they taught us enough to understand it
help me made a very important decision and made me realized what i was thinking was wrong
Everything Else
very generous on paying
a lot. people want to find out what kind of person you are as you want the same from them
a lot, sometimes you don't have time to finish lunch
yes but not much opportunities to discuss this
i wish they are lucky enough to be offered a place because for certain you should never say no to chance like this
