The Role
My pacement was good but was a relatively long length of time so during the middle period I started to struggle. However, the middle period coincided with my least enjoyable project so it depends what is avaliable at the time
Being an eighteen year old some of my colleagues ignored me slightly but on the whole most people definitely listened to my views
There is a very good network set up to ensure you don't 'slip through the cracks'
If you are able to go on the consultancy placement the work level will vary to a large degree depending on the project, but on the whole you will be fairly busy.
Again, varied between each project and each manager but in one project I was drafting documents independently and bringing ideas and imput to large and important meetings
The understanding of the business environment was a large jump for me and I think the skills I developed are more for life rather than particularly helping with my degree course
The Company
Good - especially after the completion of a deadline
It was very well run with buddy systems and people dedicated to ensuring a smooth placement
There was training throughout and a residential 2 week training period at the beginnig
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym

I enjoyed my placement and likely to go back but not sure if it is the right area of business for me
The Culture
We regularly met up, had 2 weekends away (Amsterdam and Prague) and many of us travelled with each other
I was in London and found the costs very prohibitive
It was good but again I found it quite expensive
There were, particulary sports teams but I didn't get involved or know many people who did
