The Role
The job was very technical and i struggled at first to get to grips with the tasks i was given, however after a few weeks i found i began speaking in acronyms like everyone else
Everyone within Accenture is very friendly regardless of your background and experience. Everyone was very eager to help.
I was supported immensly by not only by line manager, but also by by assigned buddy, HR rep and a senior exec
I had a wide range of tasks that enabled me to constantly be busy even if a bottleneck had arisen in one area
i was responsible for producing reports and chairing meetings within a few weeks
I feel much more confident in a group environment
The Company
Often the atmosphere was quiet due to the level of work, however everyone was ready to switch off and chat regardless of this
Everyone was provided for us and explained to us in detail. Logistically speaking it was perfect.
The first week consisted of an induction comprising general communication and consulting skills right down to specific I.T. training
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
I was offered a job beginning next year
The Culture
There was a group of 50 interns on my scheme. We all lived together and the social scene was constantly buzzing
Our accomodation was provided however the local area was very expensive for eating and drinking
We were situated right beside the thames next to tower bridge which has a fine array of bars and restaurants.
We were encouraged to sign up to the Accenture clubs and societies
