The Role
Always doing something new and exciting. Very friendly people who were always willing to help.
I was given enough responsibility from the team to carry out my own work and supported by everyone around me.
I was supported by everyone around me, whether they were the ones setting me work or the ones sitting next to me.
Sometimes I would fall short of work but once I went and asked around the office, colleagues were more than happy to find me work.
I always had my own piece of work to attend to so I felt plenty of responsibility towards what I was doing.
I gained more confidence and picked up skills I did not even realise I was picking up, and they will help me throughout my career and into later life.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great. With a chess board and table tennis in the office the fun never stopped.
Organisation lacked sometimes when it came to keeping busy and being given work, however most of the time it was well organised and the socials were also very enjoyable.
Always learnt new things as I went along.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I liked them so much, I got a job with them!
The Culture
Deloitte organised socials for the Summer Vacation Scheme students which were fun but we did not organise anything off our own backs.
I lived at home so no money needed for living. Going out in the area was also relatively cheap.
The town had about 2 clubs and we never felt the need to step foot in them once. The most nightlife the town had was a few pubs, which were ok.
Always had emails through inviting us to things but as it was only a summer internship, we did not have the chance to get involved in much.
