The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year. It has made me certain of the future career path that I wish to take, and taught me so many useful skills that I will continue to use and develop throughout my life. I have loved working for the company.
All of my colleagues treated me as a full time, mature employee which was so refreshing and really made me feel valued in the work place. Being able to feel comfortable and confident has allowed me to progress so much more than I might have otherwise.
The management structure is brilliant and all members of the management team are very supportive. Also the HR team are always on hand if there are any issues that come up and need to be resolved.
I was not particularly busy for the first few months of my placement. However after asking for an increased workload, and taking on a big project, I have been extremely busy. There is no pressure to work over your hours, however it's great to show that you can when needed.
I feel that I have been given a huge amount of responsibility but also given the support, help and guidance when necessary.
Everything that I have learnt will help me in the future
The Company
Very nice friendly atmosphere.
Fantastically run internship. The graduate talent team do a great job.
There are loads of opportunities to develop and take part in training courses. As well as doing lots of charity work which is great for networking with other people in the business that you may well not have met otherwise.

Working from home
I would love to go back and work for the company if I get the opportunity.
The Culture
I did not have any fellow placement students where I was based and the social scene was fairly limited. I did however know this before I started and was still based near university so this was not an issue for me.
Cost of living was very good compared to my salary.
Manchester has a great nightlife
We played 5 a side weekly and I also trained and completed a half marathon with my boss.
