The Role
I did enjoy the external opportunities outside of my job role. Such as careers events and give back schemes. However I found my job role very repetitive and found my self over worked due to having too much working being added to my role through out the year.
I found the intern community very friendly, however my immediate team were hard to communicate with. This made problems through out the year with communicating their issues in time for resolution. I found my team in other offices very kind and helpful when visiting and appreciated and encouraged by email.
I had very little support from my immediate manager, i also found it very hard to get help when I needed it during my initial three months.
I found my self very busy and unable to complete all of my daily, weekly and monthly tasks with in my contract hours. Making the year very stressful especially when no help was available.
I was given lots of responsibilities with invoicing and reporting.
It helped me gain experience in excel, which i believe will help me with further studies and future jobs. I also gained useful professional interpersonal skills which will help me in future work environments. I think i gained mainly life skills such as working with a range of people and learning how to be diligent and hard working.
The Company
Not very social or inviting however this is expected in an office.
Well set up through the foundation team, welcoming event and information was passed on well through out the year.
I had one training course which was for accounting practices, this was well set up however not useful for me as I had already covered it in my degree.

Working from home
I would like to try the wider IBM as i believe my placement is not accurate for the business as a whole.
