The Role
Working for the largest IT company in the world says it all really. A great company with great prospects for the future.
99.9% of the colleagues i have come across have been extremely supportive in offering advice and answering any questions you have. They treated me like an adult rather than a student.
The first month involves a one month transition period with your previous intern, who offers advice on the internship and teaches you the basics of the role.Members of my team are more than happy to help me with any additional queries i have.
You'll find that you get a healthy balance of work here at HP, some days may be quieter than others and some days you may be pretty busy, but nothing overbearing.
I was given control of numerous projects right from the start from events organisation to developing my own sales strategy.
An invaluable experience that provides you with skills uni can't teach!
The Company
Nice friendly atmosphere, though can be a bit too quiet for my liking come the end of the week.
Really well set up, HP are experienced in the intern programe.
Plenty of online training courses and training opportunities are always made avaialable to you.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Financial Bonus

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
HP is an extremely competitive company to get into. Although a few people get jobs at the end of, most people are referred to the grad scheme, which for what i want to go into (Sales) isn't great apparantly.
The Culture
Over 60 interns are at the Bracknell offices, plenty of social events are available.
Being a northerner, Reading in comparison is slightly on the expensive side.
Not Bad, Not Bad.
Plenty of social events, partner events, team events.
