The Role
The internship at Enterprise is something I would recommend to those looking for a career which provides them lots of different opportunities. The placement year requires a lot of hard work, and self motivation to develop your knowledge of the business and to progress in your career with the support of managers. The hours at Enterprise can be very long some days however, everyone at Enterprise are friendly and you are bound to feel welcomed from the get go.
From the very first day of your internship you feel highly valued and respected by all employees regardless of their position. Your managers put a lot of trust in you from the get go without questioning your ability which makes you feel ever more valued!
Managers as training managers within Enterprise invest a lot of time in you. With the right attitude and willingness to work hard and progress in your own career Enterprise provides the support you need to get to where you want, from training managers to branch managers.
Every day is a busy day! Part of the learning curve throughout the placement is being able to work under a lot of pressure from daily rental, but also your time management skills to complete other tasks throughout the year, e.g. MQI folder. The fast paced environment can be daunting at first but it does become a lot easier and it's a great experience to see what the working world is really like!
Throughout the placement year you soon start to gain a lot more responsibility. At the start of the placement there is a lot new to learn with the role, however a few months in you will start to realize a lot of different responsibilities your managers have gave you.
I have developed several different skills whilst working at Enterprise for my placement year, from performing under pressure, management skills, interpersonal skills and most importantly understanding further how a business truly operates. Doing a placement at Enterprise allows you to put theory into practice and understand how it all falls together.
The Company
Throughout the placement years there are several days where the branch may have struggled to get through due to tough circumstances, however the friendly team environment that the branches provide always get you through the day! No day is the same, however from day one you will notice the fast paced working environment at Enterprise.
At the start of my placement year I was without an official manager, however this soon changed and from their on in the placement was very well organized, with training sessions and reviews put in place to help you progress throughout the year.
The company invest a lot of time in you, if you've got any training needs or help there is always several people for you to reach out to for support and they will always be more than willing to help you.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Future employment is slightly appealing as there is a lot of progression within Enterprise, however it's important to understand the long working hours that you are sometimes required to do.
