The Role
Definitely the more exciting side to accounting, every day was different
Nicest group of people I have ever worked with
everyone was approachable for help-from the secretary to the office Partners.
Some days were quiet, others were mad, you never knew what could be happening the next day
I was treated like any other member of the team, not a cup of tea made in the whole year!
The Company
You could always have a laugh and the social life was great, but it was balance with the right amount of hard work.
I was their first placement student so neither side knew what to expect but couldnt have expected it to be any better.
I was sent on the same training courses as everyone else, except for ACCA which was understandable.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Have even been back during the uni holidays for a bit of temp work, cant wait to get back there for a proper job!
The Culture
No other placement students but the office social scene was great
lived at home paying minimal rent to the parents but leeds is full of students so cheap housing to rent and student friendly drink prices
summer bbq, xmas party, pool tournaments, bowling, football games, .... something for everyone
