The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience doing an internship at Adobe with their creative team. I felt valued by the team and involved in all aspects of the projects they were currently working on. The work I was doing was engaging, exciting and taught me plenty of new skills which I'm sure will benefit me throughout my future in the creative industry.
My colleagues at Adobe were extremely welcoming and within my first day had me working on the same projects as them. I didn't feel pushed of to one side like I had done in other internships. They seemed to value me as a colleague despite only being an intern and they always valued and respected my opinion and input.
My peers at Adobe were very supportive and conducted 3 reviews of my progress to make sure that I was achieving the things that I wanted to achieve from the internship. The head of design guided me throughout the whole course of the internship and made me feel very comfortable in my working environment.
I joined Adobe at their busiest time of year, but this was a good thing because there was plenty of exciting projects to be working on simultaneously. Despite this, I still had time to socialise with my new employees and get to know them and the working environment at adobe.
Unlike other internships I have attended, I was given a lot of responsibility at Adobe. They seemed to respect my input and the work I was doing, and were not afraid to get me working on some of their largest jobs. This was great because it meant that I was not restricted and left to work on the jobs that nobody else wanted to.
Working at Adobe has given me an incredible experience and from it I have gained a lot of knowledge about my future working environment. It has made me feel comfortable and ready for the future, knowing that I will be able to hold me own at a top company and succeed.
The Company
The Adobe offices have a great atmosphere and its a pleasurable place to work. Everyone was always happy and in a good mood, even first thing in the morning. This was great because it rubbed off on myself and other people and spreads motivation throughout the whole team and gets everyone excited to be working with eachother. I looked forward to going to work everyday.
The internship was extremely well organised by Adobe, everything from the application and interview process to actually working with the team and reviewing my progress and achievements along the way. You could tell that they actually enjoyed having interns and developing their skills. I not once was left with nothing to do.
As I have said previously. Adobe seemed to really respect my opinon and input on all aspects of the projects we were working with, even on some of the largest projects. This showed me that they weren't afraid to invest in my and enjoyed developing and training me as a designer.

Adobe is a very appealing company to work for and I would definitely jump at the opportunity if it arose in the future. I'd be honoured and excited to work on the team full time. Every aspect the work they do and the environment they work for is just what you want from a creative role.
The Culture
There was a very good social scene. Everyone would hang out at the pub after work on Fridays and after big deadlines, achievements or awards - we'd have a full on celebration in the studio. This was great because it proves that everyone on the team enjoys working with eachother which is essential in this sort of role.
I was living with my parents in London at the time so I did not have to pay for accommodation. I did have to pay for travel to and from central london everyday however Adobe were nice enough to cover this. Most of the time lunch was provided in the studio however the option was always there to go out for lunch.
I would not know what the Nightlife was like in the area because I did not get involved. However, it's east London, so the nightlife was probably good. Although the team at Adobe loved a drink down the pub, I think everyone, myself included, had grown out of going to nightclubs.
There was plenty of opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work. Many projects required research trips however we also went on plenty of leisurely team trips to bond. This included going to theme parks, gigs, bar crawls and creative events such as exhibitions and award evenings. We'd also go out for dinner a lot.
