The Role
It was enjoyable- I was able to interact with loads of different people and building new long lasting friendships. In addition, my job was very rewarding as I was able to work on a variety of different projects especially concerning mobile phones and computer programming. Finally the rewards in having more experience was especially worthwhile for me
I felt valued by my colleagues in that we were able to work on a variety of different and interesting projects and they were able to contribute different perspectives. In addition, I was able to meet different people from different walks of life, thus heightening my communication skills with others
I was given lots of guidance by my supervisors who were very friendly and approachable so I was able to come to them in confidence if I had any problems. In addition, we were given monthly appraisals on our performance on the placement which was incentivising for increased pay which was good
Most days it was really busy especially when testing out the products and evaluating the durability of the materials used to build the products. In addition, we also had to file reports and organise important documents so there was always something to do and I was able to experience all of it
A fair amount of responsibility was given to the interns on the placement such as testing the prototypes and offering valuable feedback in improving the product overall. I was able to test prototypes of Samsung's Galaxy phone series which was pretty cool and I enjoyed the experience
I received a good amount of training from the supervisors mainly through tutorials and weekly appraisals as a means to check my weekly progress. In addition, they were always approachable and the hours were flexible so I wasnt overwhelmed with the workload
The Company
Lively- there was a lot of other interns and they were really friendly. I was able to interact with various personalities on my placement and they were always willing to have a chat. Also, despite being lively it was not a stressful environment people were able to socialise with each other
Semi organised in the sense that it wasn't structured but rather more flexible towards the interns' needs and interests. Since I was more interested in the production and testing of products I did more of that however what was good about the project was that we were exposed to many different aspects such as reports and market research which I enjoyed
They invested a great deal in their interns in terms of training especially those like me that were interested in the production side. The information provided was articulated in a way that was both insightful and easy to understand. Since there was a lot of specifics involved in production the company invested a lot of time and resources to us

The employability is very appealing especially since the job roles are very interesting and pay incredibly well. In addition, the work environment is not crushing and allows people to de-stress themselves at times which is essential. Finally the company encourages us not to be absorbed in work and we would often have 2 hour non-tech breaks in order to relax and recharge
The Culture
It was amazing as I was able to meet variety of people from various walks of life both interns and permament employees at the company. I was able to make long lasting friendship to this day and they were very helpful and welcoming towards me which I greatly appreciated
I lived at home in order to save money so it didn't have any negative impact on me. Although the restuarants and bars were somewhat expensive, we were paid well by the company they also held a lot of free events and socials which were exclusive for the interns which was very good
Very good as we were in the centre of London so it was always buzzing with nightlife and things to do which was always good to have.
Yes we always had weekly socials in order to catch up with other interns through drinks and events set up by Samsung which was incredibly enjoyable. Finally, we also had various bars and restaurants which were great places for socialising and developing life-long friendships which made the placement more enjoyable
