The Role
I have grown both professional and personally. Extended my personally network as well as stretched and advanced my technical knowledge. The entire year has been thoroughly enjoyable. I have been encouraged supported and learnt so much about both work, my course, my sector of work and where i see myself going in the future.
My colleagues I now all consider to be very close friends. They have helped me grow, always ensured I felt like a value member of the team. From Exec, to Manager, to Admin, everyone here at ASOS has been incredible welcoming and warm towards me throughout the entire year. I will miss all of m work colleagues.
Management have set me very clear goals and objectives throughout the year. Whether that be small and project based of just setting levels of understanding for me to achieve. I have a mentor who has always consistently been there for me whether that be a chat and a coffee or checking in on how my work is going and what I'm enjoying.
As with all businesses there are busy periods here at ASOS too. I worked during an standard delivery tender which meant tight time frames and hard work. However some periods consisted of BAU tasks and answering simple email queries. The work hard play hard vibe strongly rattles through the office and long hours will ALWAYS be rewarded.
At no point during the year have i felt like an intern. I've been responsible for jobs that would usually be given to an analyst. Having said this there has always been ample support available for me to ensure I never felt out of my depth. I have been allowed to grow quickly and effectively and handed tasks to both stretch and encourage me to develop
I would say the experience here at ASOS will help build a strong CV, However there ate elements of supply chain I studied at university which haven't been used at all during this year. Having said that plenty of other areas of study have grown quickly and some skills I have been practicing at uni I now use as part of my business as usual approach confidently and with ease.
The Company
Asos have an incredibly unique office environment. Its fun quirky and very open plan. They thrive on authenticity and we all work within agile work spaces/hot desks. It opens the office up to be a loud and creative environment but also encourages you to get out of your comfort zone and speak with management and higher.
I would argue that some of the organisation of my year has been strongly driven and pushed for by myself. However after some gentle encouragement management were more than happy to fully provide me with a full plan of my time during each and every of my rotation. I can't fault the approach too much.
All interns here at asos are required and encouraged to take part in specially prepared and tailored intern sessions. This includes anything from gaining confidence, speaking with management, working with systems or even building our skills CVs and LinkedIn profiles. All the sessions were engaging an eye opening and fit perfectly for our stage of life and development.

I would be honored and privileged to be invited back to ASOS. I love the company and the people alike. The job interests me, challenges me and has been nothing but enjoyable. The people have made me laugh, made me learn and it will be a true shame to have to say good bye at the end of this year. All I can say is a huge thank you to everyone!
The Culture
I have gained some life long friends amongst the fellow interns here at ASOS. But I've also made great friends within my team. Great people who will help me progress later in life and I will hopefully take away a mentor or too with me for next year. The parties are fun also.
Not the company fault at all but being on the low paid end pf the spectrum and living in central London was never going to be a walk in the park. Drinks are 3 times the price. Rent is double and just a sandwich has been costly. All i recommend is pre-packing lunches and picking social events wisely
The local pub fills with ASOSers almost every Friday after work. Being based in Camden its safe to say that theirs plenty close around if you ever wished to stray away from the beloved local. Including cocktail bars restaurants and even some karaoke bars too.
Other than the gym and social activities they arent really anything to take part ion. We do have A company wide strategy day which carries on through the night and a supply chain conference as well as occasional team building days but other than that it's mainly a few drinks..
