The Role
I found the whole experience very enjoyable, I was given a lot of opportunity to learn and improve on my skills. The atmosphere in the work place was nice, being around other placement students made it more relaxing. I felt that there was a lot of chances to try new things
My team treated me as if I was one of their own straight away, they seemed to rely on me straight away and offered support the entire duration of my placement which was nice, my manager was always around when I needed him and guided me when I was stuck
Whenever I needed asssistance my manager was there on skype and replied very promptly, he replied to all of my emails, made sure he followed up with me about any issues I had. He was always happy to sit in meetings with me and was happy to be cc’d into emails to be kept in the loop
I was given many projects throughout the year. I was constantly working, which was good, I was always Learning when I was working. I had a fair number of meetings throughout my placement, regular ones and some quick skype calls to sort out odd jobs or speak with my manager about the week.
I was in charge of lots of projects where I worked independently and was I’m charged or lots of equipment. I was also imvahrge of speaking with 3rd party companies.
I believe this place, met will help me with my final year project and has helped decide what I want to do when I’m older. I was placed on a few courses paid for ny gsk. This has let , me improve on ,y skills outside my work and my degree
