The Role
It has been amazing working for the company. The work I have done over the year has given me so much knowledge and understanding and has helped me make decisions for my career
I felt valued at the company and my team. I was always recognized for work in my team and the team mates were extremely nice and friendly
I always had guidance whenever I needed it from my manager and all my colleagues in the team. They had an open door policy and I could go to them anytime and for anything I needed help with
It varied over the year. Sometimes I had minimum amount of work to do and sometimes enough to fill my week. The good thing was that I could choose how much work I want to take on and I could even take on personal projects in my less busy times.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility. I was allowed to interact with customers and give them presentations and demo them the technology every now and then
The skills I developed are going to help me so much for my course! I have learnt so many things that I wouldn't have learned otherwise and have learnt additional advanced things which will make my third year a little easier. It also gives me a competitive edge in the market against my peers who didn't opt-in for a placement since I have additional skills and experience I have gained from this year
The Company
Really positive vibe around the office and all the people here are so nice. It is truly fun to work with everyone here.
It was well organised and I had support for everything I needed and had all the resources at my hand. The people were very helpful too.
I believe my colleagues supported me and gave me tasks that would help me develop my skills and would invest a lot of time to help me with side projects (that benefit me more than the company) too.

The Culture
Yes. We had a huge committee of interns that would plan social events and charity events, niht outs, pub quizzes etc
Cheap rent and affordable things to do around. Drinks are cheap on student night-outs too.
It was alright. Since it is a working industrial town and not a uni town there were limited options but the nightlife is defined by the people you are with rather than the town/clubs. The pubs were good here though
So many opportunities. We had charity and volunteer events that Intel would support and we could support whatever charity we liked and volunteer as much as we want.
