The Role
I really enjoyed all elements of my placement year, from the personal development I have made to the people I have met.
I have felt like any other member of the team from the first day of arriving in the business and have always felt valued by those around me.
I have been given endless support from my manager and working so closely with her has helped me to develop a lot on a personal level and a professional level throughout the year
When business as usual wasn't so busy, there was always something else to do, someone else to help, not only did this help to keep me busy but also to meet new teams and get involved in new tasks.
I was given responsibility from day one and constantly given support to do more.
Throughout the placement I've been working with my university tutor and manager to help bridge the gap between the work and theories I have learnt in the classroom and what goes on in a business environment.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great fun, I work with such a diverse range of people and this helped to make every day different, the hot desking policy aids this greatly.
There was a lot of freedom to make the job role your own.
There have been internal training courses, external training courses and online courses. I have completed more training this year than I thought I would have the opportunity to.
Financial Bonus
Above 25 days holiday
They offer a great grad scheme
The Culture
It has been fun being surrounded by so many other undergraduates in the business.
The cost of living and going out can verge on the more expensive side for the area but it was always good fun
There were a few clubs, but the people were the best part of the nightlife
I have gotten involved with a local sports team and its been great fun meeting new people outside of work
