The Role
All of my colleagues at Siemens were very friendly and helped me fit in really well. The job itself is satisfying and I have enjoyed coming to work every day.
I have always been praised for work I have done, and told how much it is appreciated and how it is helping the business.
Managers and supervisors have always been very supportive and helpful. They have always been there to answer any queries I have had and have helped where they were able to.
I am often quite busy, however the start of my placement year was relatively slow as no work had been set out for me.
During my placement, I have been left to work alone on projects on several occasions and have been trusted that my judgment on situations is correct.
Skills such as teamwork that I have gained during my placement will be invaluable at university, as I will have a lot of group projects to complete in my final year.
The Company
All of my colleagues are generally happy and cheerful, and are always willing to help you when they can which creates a good atmosphere to work in.
The beginning of my internship was very disorganised, with no work being set out for me. This meant I spent a couple of weeks with not a lot of work to do and no department to work in.
The company has sent me on many training courses to ensure I can gain as much as possible from my placement year, such as advancing my Excel skills.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
The Culture
All of the interns have got together for nights out in the area on several occasions.
The area is relatively cheap for socializing and living.
The night life is average.
The company is involved heavily within the local area so they are always wanting people to volunteer in out of work activities.
