The Role
Offered me great experience working in a verity of communication channels.
I feel that the site appreciates what I do most of the time.
At the start I was given a lot of guidance, but it decreased quickly.
Depending on the time of the year, my day to day can get very busy, with lots of small jobs blocking larger projects.
My line manager gave me a lot of responsibility, which helped me to build my connections In the office.
So far my placement has given me a wider insight into the communication industry and the roles the are available.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office varies from quiet to busy, very quickly. Most people in the office are aged between 20 -50,and this reflects on the atmosphere depending where you sit. In engineering the atmosphere is a lively, where as training can often be quiet.
My placement was very organised at the beginning, with all my equipment ready and waiting for me before I started my role. Throughout, I would say it has been organised, but depending on how busy your manager is and there travel schedule this can take some affect.
I feel like it could have been publicised more, I didn't really take part in any. The intern development program was useful and provided us with some great information, tips & tricks; however I felt like more session could have been put on. Or circuit session to take place. The online videos were helpful, but repetitive to the development program training day we had.

I think the future employment prospects are appealing, but they aren't publicised to the best of their ability. You really have to do some digging to find out valuable information about them.
The Culture
At my site there was only three interns so the social scene was okay. Having a close connection to the graduates and apprentices it was quiet easy for the social scene to be built up.
I would say that the cost of living was higher than expected, but socialising was around my expected price. The cost of accommodation was a lot higher than I was expecting and I think the wage needs to reflect the surrounding area a little more.
I would say the nightlife Is good, Leamington Is a university area so there a few students nights and a lot of bars. Being a close to Birmingham is also handy if you want a night out, but travel back into Leamington/ Warwick is expensive.
As Warwick is a small site there wasn't that many things or opportunities to get involved in outside of work. Throughout the year there are a few things that go on but it is all depending on the employees who are arranging it to how it is communicated. Things can often get missed or happen and no one new about it.
