The Role
I enjoyed my placement as it gave me an excellent insight into the world of business. Siemens was a great company to give me a taste for working life as it is well set up and connected to all the other Siemens businesses around the world.
My colleagues value me as I have helped their general work process this year by competing several continuous improvement activities.
My manager was very busy all year, but made time for me with regular meetings. The Independence helped me develop confidence and rapport within the business.
Often quite busy, some weeks my work slowed down but when I needed to give support to my team the weeks were quite hectic.
A fair bit, i had to handle confidential information and my team relied on me.
The skills I have gathered this year will help me for the rest of my life and my final year. My confidence and initiative have improved a lot.
The Company
Quiet, I was in a small business and most people concentrated on their work.
There wasn't much of a plan for me when I started, but I was the first intern my team had had so they had to learn what work to give me.
Excellent investment, I was sent on lots of trainings which made me feel valued by the company.
