The Role
Enjoyed it with the manager and team I am surrounded in on a daily basis. However the exposure has been rather scattered and with two different line managers this has been challenging during my internship. I enjoyed having the other graduates in the company but more networking can be done
I feel valued
I have been given great support during my time
Not busy at all during the initial months and often left with not much to do at all - only 8 months in I feel truly settled in what I’m doing
Given a lot of responsibility but only till 3-4 months in
I have graduated already but feel I have a good set of work place skills under my belt that I can apply externally in a confident manner
The Company
Really energising atmosphere but with so many people on a flexible working hours or location, often there is only 2 people in the office which I don’t think is best for an intern and thus limiting their learning
Ok
Inverted quite a lot but would expect that after a year internship and have a degree that I would be offered a position in the company, however due to headcount issues and merger this has not happened. There is no obvious career progression and I can’t enter a graduate HR programme as Siemens don’t offer one and the jobs advertised aren’t an obvious career progression either and this needs to change
National Travel
Appealing but no opportunities currently which means I have to look more actively externally
