The Role
I got exposure to a lot of projects, different departments & marketing activities. It was a good experience.
I worked in a close knit team and felt valued for projects I carried out.
Communication was good in my team so I felt supported. However, on some occasions I felt supervisors were too busy too help me.
There was always work to be done but it was fine to manage. Working with team mates helped to manage this. However, sometimes I had to work late to meet fixed deadlines.
After a few months in the role, I felt I had settled into knowing my key tasks & responsibilities. During the year my responsibilities grew and felt valued for managing various projects on my own.
I have picked up some experience & knowledge from my placement which I will be able to assist my degree. However, the majority of workplace skills I have learnt will only benefit me in a graduate job.
The Company
It was pleasant, but the atmosphere could be a bit louder and exciting. Sometimes it was a dull.
Had no problems with Sony HR - Recruitment / induction was fine. However, HAYS managed our pay / holidays and were terrible.
I attended several product training days which helped & got to travel to to various events which was good experience.

Above 25 days holiday
I enjoy my job but Sony is Located in Surrey which isn't where I want to live after University.
The Culture
Yes there a quite a few interns to socialize with, but there isn't that much to do in Surrey...
Quite expensive for what it is. Would rather live closer to London.
Not much in Surrey. Have to travel closer to London to come across Nightlife.
The gym in the office is good and also fitness classes. However, I would have liked a 5-a-side league.
