The Role
I enjoyed my time at Computacenter and I was given lots of amazing opportunities such as the ITIL Foundation course and many other training courses. CC is a very friendly company and everyone is easy to approach.
I was very lucky to be put in such an amazing team! We all got along so well and they became like my family. I was treated as a colleague and not a university student.
My support here at CC has been very helpful with monthly 1-2-1 meetings with my Manager. I was given a training plan and objectives to follow throughout my placement.
I was busy every day with my usual BAU activities, and I was constantly challenged by my manager as I was hungry to learn!
I was given a good amount of responsibility. My manager and team really trusted me and involved me in many new projects which really motivated me to do well in my placement. If you decide to do your placement at Computacenter, you will be seen as a colleague and you will be treated that way.
My skills have definitely developed this year, and most importantly my soft skills. I have many transferable skills due to my changing job role. When I first applied to a placement I didn’t expect to receive half of the opportunities I have had throughout my time here. I have been treated in the same regard as any other employee would and I have been given the same (if not more!) opportunities My insight and knowledge into the graduate market has increased seven-fold and I feel as though I have matured a lot over this year.
The Company
The company does not think twice when it comes to investing in you and your development.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I had the chance to network with lots of senior members here at Computacenter and I am looking to apply for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
All of us got along really well and I made friends for life!
The local university club - Forum and nice clubs in St Albans area.
I went to the gym after work.
