The Role
The work is a good mix of analysis and practical work with opportunities to meet with customers and potentially go abroad.
The atmosphere at HP is great, it's really relaxed and everyone is welcoming and happy to help at any time.
My manager is great. She's supportive and able to give feedback and direction on all work I'm doing.
I get lots of work I'm solely responsible for which keeps me busy but I also have time to be on the Intern Committee.
I'm responsible for a lot for example being the lead on various projects for the UK&I but I'm also given guidance throughout.
The skills I've developed will be useful for my studies and beyond especially excel skills which have improved dramatically.
The Company
A good mix of fun and a suitable working environment. I'm with 5 other interns making it a good working atmosphere while remaining professional.
HP have been running their internship scheme for many years although I am only the third Intern in my role throughout the years. It's extremely well organised with each Intern with a useful job which benefits HP and the Intern.
There's lots of resources available to us as Interns including internet based training and face to face training with my Manager including presentation skills. The training is pushed for all Interns and is readily available to everyone.

Working from home
As long as I prove my skills there is opportunities to come back as a graduate.
The Culture
There was lots of social events organised with HP Interns and also lots of other Companies around the same area such as Microsoft, Fujitsu, BMW, Waitrose. There's a good mix of social life and work.
I live at home so it made placement a lot cheaper!
Lots of places to go out. Reading is a popular choice with the Interns at the Bracknell HP.
Not only Intern Opportunities but also activities and charity work for all employees who want to participate. The year is what you want to get out of it, you can put in as much or as little extra time in as possible.
