The Role
I came from working at a restaurant so to have my weekends was great, yes - the hours are long but I loved my placement year. I had fun with my colleagues, met some great friends and am looking forward to coming back after Uni as an Assistant Manager - with a very competitive salary for a graduate. Enterprise offer great progression if you work hard.
I felt very much valued - as enterprise hire all throughout the year you get the opportunity to train other people that are coming into the business and that makes you feel valued as you can see that you are directly adding value to the business by training others.
Management were really good at helping you with anything you need - the days do get very busy so you might not think that you get all the attention you need all of the time, just because there is so much to fit into every day.
The days do get very busy - you will never be stuck for something to do. It's sometimes difficult to get everything done.
I was given lots of responsibility during my placement and was given things to do that had a direct effect t on the branch - it's nice to have full ownership of sections of the business as an intern.
They have definitely helped in terms of management and the understanding of how a business operates.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was fun and friendly - we all got on very well and knew when it was appropriate to have a laugh. We are all friends outside of work.
It was organized very well - through the placement office at my uni to how enterprise manage new hires. I felt like I was in a professional internship from start to finish.
The company definitely invest in you but you need to show that you are willing to work hard and be the best employee you can be - otherwise you won't get the maximum you can get out of the business.
Flexi Time
Above 25 days holiday
Very appealing - I am looking forward to coming back after uni.
The Culture
Yeah - if you get involved then you can really create some great friends.
Not too expensive - just in kent just outside of London which is an area I am familiar with.
Not great! Tonbridge is not known for the nighlife but tunbridge wells is average
Not really, not that much was on offer, that may be because we work long hours anyway
