The Role
I was given a variety of opportunities to get involved in, including things outside of my department. Having such a range of experiences has been really enjoyable and really informative for future career planning.
I was made to feel like I was part of the team from day one.
Both my manager and supervisor have been incredibly supportive throughout the whole year and are happy to answer any questions I have.
The level of work varies throughout the year, with an increasing workload around recruitment time. You are always kept very busy with a variety of tasks, which is good! The team are very good at making sure you can cope with the workload and emphasize the importance of work life balance.
The level of responsibility rises throughout the year as you show your capability increasing.
The Company

The Culture
In Lincoln there is a very wide pool of trainees which means the social scene is very good. In my year there were 31 interns who went out together and socialised outside of work.
Living in Lincoln is a lot cheaper than living in some of the bigger cities.
There are quite a few bars and clubs in the centre even though Lincoln isn't a very big city.
There are lots of volunteering opportunities advertised throughout the year. Each employee gets 2 paid days of volunteering per annual year.
