The Role
It was an enjoyable experience, but had some challenges along the way. It was tough in parts, but has created a lot of wonderful memories and connections.
I was seen as an integral part of the team and thus highly valued among my colleagues. However, it was still very clear that I was the "intern" on the team and thus wasn't given the same responsibilities as some of my colleagues.
Support was given throughout my placement, form support and advice at my desk all the way through to formal class room learning sessions.
Some days I found myself looking for something to do, whereas other days I had too much work. It really depended on the day.
I was given a bit of responsibility, but not as much as I would have hoped for.
I have gained a number of different skills that should assist me next year in my studies and beyond. Such as time-management skills as as well organisation skills.
The Company
The general atmosphere is quite lively and upbeat, with people being very friendly and inviting. There is always people going to the pub, with a number of incentives being organised for the entire office.
It was organised fairly effectively as everything was in place for the interns from the start. However, sometimes it seemed very last minute.
They did give us a lot of training and development opportunities much like a graduate would have received.

If you do well within your placement, there is a very high likeliness that you can be offered a job back when you graduate.
The Culture
The social scene is very lively with people always going out and doing things. Along with company organised incentives.
As it is London, it is always expensive, but it is no more expensive than anywhere else in central.
Its central London, there is a very good night-life there.
There are a number of incentives available to all staff members, including interns.
