The Role
I had the opportunity to work on different projects, and the ability to request to work in different departments for a few days if I had wanted to.
I met a lot of people during my internship and felt valued by them all, they offered help willingly and were very encouraging throughout the process.
I really got on with my manager, she was very supportive and helpful. Additionally, she ensured that all the interns were invited to social nights out
Overall, I felt that I had enough work during my time with PwC. I felt that they perhaps underestimated how long it would take me to complete a task, however, I always asked around to see if I could help others, and was able to work for someone else 99% of the time.
I had a lot of different tasks, I felt that I had a lot of responsibility when I was required to ask a financial director where they got a value from. I felt comfortable with this as my senior had coached me through the process. I had a fair amount of client contact in my internship.
I feel more comfortable talking to senior members of staff, in particular I had a great conversation with a partner on my final day. I have learned that I need to be more confident with my findings, this was brought to my attention through the comprehensive peer review system at PwC
The Company
I loved the office. It was very modern, and the desks were set out very socially. There was always enough converation in the office, without being distracting, and sofa areas for longer conversations. I appreciated the coffee breaks on the lower level twice a day, and felt comfortable having a break with other members of staff.
The internship started with a week training, 3 days near London, then back up to Scotland. The flights were organised for us, and we were given all the tools and information we needed to start. I was introduced to staff members who would help me on my vist 'real' day on the fourth day. Staff members always made an effort to introduce me to the my new teams, when my previous job was complete.
The first week training would be very useful for people that had a non-relevant degree, but I am an accounting student. Staff members were very willing to coach me through tasks. The review process was very valuable as it identified what I could improve on for my next job.

I have a graduate job with PwC, 2:1 dependent, and am really looking forward to starting.
The Culture
There were two company social events during my internship. I went a long to a sports team which allowed me to meet different members of staff. This helped me find work when I was quite as I could ask them if I could help. Additionally, all the Scottish interns made an effort to meet each week for a catch up at the weekend, or dinner during the week. There was a drinks reception for all Scottish interns on the penultimate day.
Great if you know where to go.
I went to a few different places in Glasgow, i.e. non-student places which was nice. I spent a lot of time socialising in edinburgh with the other interns.
There are a lot of sports clubs, and I heard there were other events at different times of the year.
