I really enjoyed my time spent at Clifford Chance on the vacation scheme. I found there to be a healthy balance between desk work, interactive activities and social events. I had the opportunity to met with extremely talent, driven and like-minded individuals and overall, this was a very enjoyable two week experience.

During my time spent at Clifford Chance, I was made to feel very well valued and appreciated by both my team and fellow colleagues. My team took the time to review and provide feedback on my work, and were very appreciative of the work I was completing. Furthermore, the work I was given had real business benefits and this also made me feel like a valued member of the team.

At Clifford Chance, there is an excellent system of support in place and therefore, I always felt well supported and my team expertly guided me through the vacation scheme, allowing me to get the most out of the experience. My supervisor was more than willing to give up her time to answer my questions and I certainly felt well supported for the duration of the vacation scheme.

I found this vacation scheme to be very beneficial in terms of personal development and the skills and knowledge that I developed will undoubtedly benefit me in the future. I have widened my commercial awareness and this will be beneficial in future training contract interviews. Although I was initially hesitant about the atmosphere at Clifford Chance and I had preconceptions about how we may be treated, it could not have been further from the reality! There was a really great atmosphere in the office and I found everybody that I came across to be very friendly and welcoming!

I felt very well invested in during my time spent at Clifford Chance! All of the activities and sessions were suited to our abilities and knowledge as university students and were designed to help us develop the skills needed to succeed in the legal sector. It was clear to see a great deal of effort and money had been invested in this scheme.

I found the vacation scheme a really great way to gain a better understanding of what it would be like to have a full time role at Clifford Chance. There were plenty of networking opportunities, where employees were very open and honest about their experiences and time spent at the firm.

The vacation scheme is a very beneficial way of finding out more about the culture at the firm. During the induction session on the first day, we had a presentation dedicated to understanding more about the culture at Clifford Chance and over the course of the two weeks spent at the firm, I now have a much better understanding.

I found that the content of the vacation scheme was very beneficial in helping me to decide my future career path as all of the sessions were focused on providing us with a better understanding of what a career in commercial law truly entails. Furthermore, I also appreciated how honest employees were about their own personal experiences as this career path is not for everyone and I was able to gauge whether I would be suited to a career in this sector.

There were so many opportunities for networking on this vacation scheme! We had the chance to network with more junior employees right through to senior and managing partners, which was an amazing opportunity to be exposed to such influential and driven individuals. Networking sessions ranged from breakfast sessions to formal dinners.

All of the networking and social events that I attended were well organised and enjoyable.

Yes, there are endless pro bono opportunities as well as sporting teams and discounted museum access for employees.
