The Role
Overall, a really great experience, motivated me to study further and pursue a career in academia/pharmaceuticals.
Couldn't haver asked for a better supervisor - she helped me with both scientific questions, career and future plans and general questions regarding living in UK (I'm from EU mainland).
I got to work on a novel research project.
The Company
First 2 months was learning and attending various training seminars focused on labwork, scientific writing, safety etc. Also, throughout the year I had opportunities to attend various lectures and seminars on the latest scientific research data.

The employment prospects are great, however for a biologist, a core requirement is often a PhD degree.
The Culture
Team pub lunches, birthday celebrations and team building events.
600-750 pounds/month.
Not interested in nightlife much myself, however London was just 25minutes away by train and the trains ran all night, so whoever wanted to go out, could do so easily.
Stevenage is a small town, however if an individual wanted, I believe yes. Some of my coworkers volunteered for charity, other sang in a choir.
