About You
I really enjoyed the vacation scheme. I thought everything was planned really well, allowing us to get a good balance between experiencing the work and getting to know the people and the culture.
Everyone has been so welcoming. I feel as though I have really contributed to the teams I sat in with the work I did.
There was enough scope for us to feel independent without feeling lost or overwhelmed.
I have learnt so much from the scheme which will be invaluable for both my degree and my future career. I developed research skills which will help with my degree whilst also gaining an insight into the practical application of law and the way an international law firm functions.
The Company
I had enough time to experience the work in each practice group I sat in which was also balanced with talks to help gain an insight into the work the firm does as a whole. There was also the right amount of social activities so that it wasn't too overwhelming.
Perfect. So many friendly faces who were genuinely interested and wanted to get to know you. I didn't feel like I was being constantly assessed.
Everyone took the time to help me get as much out of the experience as possible.
I thought each week was a snapshot of the experience you would get starting a seat at the beginning of a training contract.
The culture was apparent from the first day at the firm.
It consolidated my decision to pursue this career and helped me settle on the things I valued about a firm.
Everything Else
Unfortunately, I spent my earnings on accommodation in the first week.
I got to know a significant proportion of the trainees and the talks allowed me to meet employees from all practice groups.
The events were timed well throughout the scheme which allowed you to feel comfortable and to get the most out of the events as the scheme progressed.
Yes, we had a talk on Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity and Inclusion at the firm which fully explained the wide range of opportunities the firm facilitates.
Definitely.
