The Role
I really enjoyed my 12 month internship with Enterprise from beginning to end. I was able to learn and enhance a variety of different skills, which will be hugely beneficial for my career. I would strongly recommend applying for a position at Enterprise, wether it is the Internship, Management trainee or even the 3 month summer placement.
During my time a Enterprise i felt well valued by my colleagues and really got on with the team i was working with on a day to day basis. Also with everyone beginning at the same level as you do is really important because even the managers are extremely understanding and value you options and give you support.
I was constantly receiving support from my managers and supervisors, which was a really effective way to get a greater understanding of the company.
I was based in a busy city centre branch which very rarely had quiet days. However, this was really good for me because it allowed me to become more independent and take control and tasks and situations faster.
This was one of the main reason i applied for this internship, you are constantly trained throughout the year in order to become a manager and make your own decisions. Therefore throughout the placement i was able to trust my won judgement without wondering if i would be questioned for my choices after.
With studying a Management and Marketing degree i do believe the majority of the skills i learned from my time at Enterprise will be transferable and help me to gain a better understanding of certain topics during my final year at university.
The Company
The atmosphere was always really positive and friendly, during my time in the branch i made some good friends and there was very rarely a dull moment.
The overall structure of the placement was very good as before we began in branch we had three days of training at head office and then a there was various training date afterwards to focus on development.
Enterprise have a vested interset in all of their employees as they only promote within the business, so all of the trainees will eventually be future leaders of the company.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I will be continuing working for Enterprise throughout my final year of university with the intention of returning after I've completed my degree. With the aim that as soon as i return full time i will be able to apply for assistant manager positions.
The Culture
Yeah there was a really good connection between me and all my other colleagues on placement as well, we were all able to see how one another was getting on and help.
I was living at home during my placement.
With me working in the city centre the nightlife was very good.
Yeah there was plenty of other activities to get involved in, the area that i worked in had a 5 a side football team which was always good to be a part of.
