About You
I really enjoyed the vacation scheme, we were provided with a really good insight into the Walker Morris firm.
Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming towards me, they made me feel like I was a part of the department that I worked in.
Anytime that I needed any help I felt confident in asking my supervisor and they provided me with the support I needed.
The skills I developed during this week were extremely beneficial, even from simple things such as learning new computer skills on Word, to being able to use a precedent to draft a document.
The Company
The entire process was really well structured, it was a really good balance between workshops and actual time with the department you were sat in.
The general atmosphere was really friendly, no matter which department you looked around everyone was always willing to have a quick chat with you.
The insight really helped you to get a feel of the average working week at Walker Morris, we were provided with actual work to do and so we felt like we were contributing to the firm.
No matter who you talked to they always gave you an honest opinion on the firm which provided a true reflection of the firm.
I really enjoyed the department that I sat in and I could see myself going into that in the future. However, I would have liked to maybe see one more during my time there.
Everything Else
There were fantastic networking opportunities, we had a lunch with the trainees, an informal chat with them and even a night out!
Social events were really good, we ended up on the first day watching the world cup with the trainees, this was a really relaxed atmosphere in which you could get to know them a bit more and ask questions.
One of the trainees explained all about the firms corporate social responsibilities and how they choose their different charity for each year.
